Social Media Detox: Day 12
The world would be a much better place if everyone understood one another.
But people cannot understand others if they don’t understand themselves.
That may sound like pithy, self-help bullshit, but it’s a fact.
Simple, but true.
The reason people start wars and continue on fighting them is because they don’t understand themselves–not really.
Since they don’t understand themselves, they refuse to understand one another. They learn things throughout their entire lives that place a shroud over life’s true meaning.
Not many people are eager to die, but many seem eager to see others die.
But if understanding filled all minds instead of reactive hate we’d finally get somewhere.
Why does it have to be so hard?
